It all started in Sarasota, FL with two 15s in the back of his '78 Corolla and has gone pretty much downhill since then. After eight years in a college town and some light raving, he moved to Atlanta right after the millennium. The access to lesser-known artists helped to broaden his horizons and he decided to try his hand at mixing. His primary focus for buying music was, and continues to be, not so much getting the latest releases, but finding music he could enjoy listening to at any time. Influences are all over the map: primus, digable planets, mark farina, terry lee brown jr, garth, peace orchestra, galactic, red snapper, john tejada, baby mamoth and ninja tune. Most important, though, are his friends and fellow music nuts. In 2005, he moved back to Sarasota for family and beachness. Finding nothing musically to suit his tastes in town he started a weekly event, Deep Cleanse, focused on eclectic music, from classic jazz to glitchy beats. Now back in Atlanta for round two, he enjoys trying to incorporate different sounds and cram them all together, from deep house to minimal tech, like a big pot of sonic gumbo.
